What Is a Dental Implant?

The permanent
solution to a
missing tooth

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed directly into the jawbone, acting as an artificial root for a replacement tooth. Once integrated, a custom ceramic crown is attached — creating a restoration that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

Unlike bridges or dentures, implants do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support. They stand alone, preserve jawbone density, and do not slip, click, or require removal. With proper care, a dental implant can last a lifetime.

At Loul Dental Studio, every implant is placed using computer-guided technology — ensuring precision, safety, and predictability from the first appointment to final restoration.

Implant Solutions

The right solution
for every situation

01
Single Tooth Implant

One implant and one crown replace a single missing tooth — without touching or altering any adjacent healthy teeth. The gold standard for single tooth replacement.

02
Implant-Supported Bridge

Two implants support a bridge of three or more teeth — restoring a full section of missing teeth without the need for a traditional adhesive bridge that grinds down healthy teeth.

03
Full Arch Restoration

For patients missing all or most teeth, four to six implants can support a complete fixed arch — a permanent, stable solution that functions like natural teeth and never requires removal.

04
Same-Day Implants

In carefully selected cases, we can place the implant and a temporary crown in a single visit — so you leave with a functional, natural-looking tooth the same day.

05
Implant-Retained Denture

A set of implants locks a denture securely in place — eliminating slipping, adhesives, and the bone loss that traditional dentures cause over time.

06
Bone Grafting & Site Prep

Where bone density has been lost, we restore it first with a biocompatible bone graft — creating a strong, stable foundation for long-term implant success.

Metal-Free · Biologic Option

Ceramic implants
for a holistic approach

For patients seeking a metal-free alternative, we offer ceramic (zirconia) dental implants — delivering the same lifetime durability as titanium with none of the metal.

Made from high-strength medical-grade zirconia, ceramic implants are fully biocompatible and hypoallergenic — ideal for patients with metal sensitivities, autoimmune concerns, or anyone committed to a more biologic approach to their health.

100% Metal-Free

Zero titanium or metal alloys. An ideal choice for patients with metal sensitivities or autoimmune considerations.

Highly Biocompatible

Zirconia is exceptionally well-tolerated by the body, with no electrogalvanic activity or metallic taste concerns.

Naturally Tooth-Coloured

The white ceramic post eliminates the risk of grey shadowing through thin gum tissue — ideal for visible front teeth.

Plaque-Resistant Surface

Ceramic attracts less plaque and bacteria than metal — supporting healthier gum tissue around your implant.

The Digital Difference

Computer-guided precision
at every step

At Loul Dental Studio, we use advanced 3D imaging and computer-guided surgical technology to plan and place every implant with a level of precision that traditional methods simply cannot match.

01
3D CT Scanning

Before any procedure begins, a full 3D scan maps your bone density, nerve positions, and anatomy in precise detail — allowing us to plan placement with complete accuracy.

02
Virtual Treatment Planning

We design your entire implant case digitally before we begin — showing you the exact placement, angle, and final aesthetic result before a single incision is made.

03
Surgical Guide

A custom-fitted surgical guide is fabricated from your 3D plan — physically directing the implant to the exact position, depth, and angle determined in planning. Less guesswork, more precision.

04
In-House Crown Milling

Your implant crown is designed and milled in our studio using CAD/CAM technology — custom-matched to your bite and shade for a result that blends perfectly with your natural teeth.

What to Expect

Your implant journey,
step by step

I

Consultation & 3D Imaging

We begin with a thorough evaluation of your oral health, bone density, and bite. A 3D CT scan gives us a complete picture of your anatomy — and we walk you through exactly what to expect before any commitment is made.

II

Treatment Planning

Using your scan, we design your implant placement virtually — selecting the optimal position, angle, and crown design. You'll see and approve the plan before we proceed. If bone grafting is needed, this is discussed and scheduled first.

III

Implant Placement

The implant post is placed using a computer-guided surgical guide. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia — most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is. In some cases, a temporary crown is placed the same day.

IV

Osseointegration — Healing Period

Over 3 to 6 months, the implant fuses with your jawbone through a natural process called osseointegration. This creates the stable foundation that makes implants so durable and long-lasting.

V

Final Crown Placement

Once integration is confirmed, your custom ceramic crown is attached — milled in our studio and carefully matched to your surrounding teeth. The result is a permanent, natural-looking tooth that is indistinguishable from the real thing.
